Yes, we are a tuition-free public school for K-5 in the Cole-Whittier neighborhood, and do we know how to ring in the new year! Let us share what’s in store for our students and community.

Back To School BBQ 

Everyone in the community is welcome to our Back To School BBQ, August 19th. You don’t have to be an enrolled family to join the celebration (and it is not too late to enroll in Wyatt for Fall ‘22). There will be food, games, prizes, and of course, all of the joy, wonder, community, and opportunity values Wyatt is known for. This is a great opportunity to meet the teachers and fellow schoolmates!

School Starts August 22nd

What an exciting day! The first day of the school year! We are just as excited as you are, and encourage everyone to prepare accordingly for a successful start. Here are some tips to begin the school year right:

• Gear Up

• For a stress-free start, we have you covered for school supplies. All you have to remember are your headphones and water bottle. 
• If you need school clothes, please visit the boutique in our Empowerment Center.

• Good Food For a Good Day

• Remember, we’re a school where students learn by doing. Students perform better when they’ve had a proper meal for dinner the night before school starts, and a good breakfast the morning of.
• If you need help getting food, please visit our Empowerment Center. For hours, please contact us at the school: 303-292-5515.

• Stay Calm And Sleep

• Ensuring your student gets a minimum of 9 hours of restful sleep before school starts will ensure a more successful day.
• To reduce the school day jitters, consider reading a calming story or trying an age-appropriate guided meditation before bed. Mental and emotional health is just as important as physical health.

Soft Start for Kindergarteners

August 22-23, the school day ends at noon for Wyatt Kindergarteners. This is our soft start to ease our young students into school. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions or need to arrange for after school care.
